Yasmin Rashid terms police raids at PTI leaders' houses as cheap tactics

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former provincial minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Monday termed police raids as PTI leaders houses as cheap tactics by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led coalition government, Dunya News reported.
Dr Yasmin Rashid, who was present at the residence of PTI leader Hammad Azhar residence when police conducted a raid on Monday night to arrest him, said that the government has resorted to cheap tactics to arrest PTI leaders and workers ahead of long march.
Yasmin Rashid said that the police wanted to take her away upon which I asked them why I should go with you. She said that when police tried to arrest me, I sat down on the ground and asked police not to touch me.
She said that peaceful protest is our right and we are not doing anything wrong. She further said that the PTI s recent country wide public rallies were peaceful.
She said that PTI in its tenure never stopped rallies and long marches of the opposition but now when they are in power, they are dragging to country towards anarchy by creating hurdles to stop PTI long march.
